seafood bouilliabase: I made this on Good Friday. Bernard is Catholic, and is teaching me all kinds of things. One thing I have learned is that Good Friday and Seafood go hand in hand. And so, I stopped by the market on the way off the seabus and picked up fresh halibut, jumbo scallops, mussels, and shrimp. Good Friday, I am sold.
Oven roasted tomatoes. Simply halve tomatoes, sprinkle with two very finely sliced cloves of garlic, lots of olive oil, and freshly ground salt and pepper. Roast 1-2 hours at 250 degrees until shrively and delicious. Best served hot, or warm, or room temperate. On their own, or on bruschetta, or tossed in pasta. Basically, they are just plain delicious.
