Lilacs in season over our fence
In July, my sister organized an amazing stagette party for me, in Ucluelet! The whole weekend was top secret, and we had a blast! She organized a beautiful cabin where we all stayed right on the water, and we went surfing! Best weekend ever.
I was made to wear this veil at nearly all times.

back at home, we had a bit of time off together to enjoy the summer. (We were both working at winery restaurants). We built a fire pit.
the garden was a success!
on one of our winery visits that summer, buying wine for our wedding dinner.
September 15, we were married. The ceremony was in town at a church, and the dinner was outdoors at a most beautiful garden. We chose our wedding date based on the availability of our favourite caterer, and the meal did not dissapoint. Being a ‘destination wedding’ since most of our guests were from out of town, we rented cabins at a cute little lakefront resort, and everyone stayed there plus we had our party there. It couldn’t have been more perfect. (These wedding photos are all by our amazing photographer, Glen Durrell).
The day after the wedding, we got to kick back at the cabin resort and truly relax with all of our friends and family.
For our honeymoon, we did a quick 3 night getaway to the Oregon Coast. We drove there, and it was so relaxing — perfect after a crazy whirlwind of wedding planning and hosting.
One night we picked up a full crab dinner in town, and ate it in our room in our bathrobes. Now this is how honeymoons should be!
Later that fall, we renovated two of our bathrooms, including learning to tile for the first time.
Started running (since we had a half marathon to be training for coming up in January!)
a cozy quiet Christmas at home.
