Saturday’s market fell on October 30th, so the Halloween theme was in the air all day. Kids in costume trick or treated at each of the vendors’ booths, and parents were shopping for goodies of all types for their Halloween parties. It was a great day and I had a great time meeting all sorts of new people and their cute little costumed bundles. Sorry about the sugar highs that we induced!
Here is a sampling of what Buttercup Cake Design showcased last weekend:
vanilla bean sugar cookies in spiderweb designs…
and in pumpkins, of course.
a new orange and white display cake
“Trick or Treat” macarons – flavours included all the best trick or treat favourites:
PB cup, Bounty, Molasses Kiss, and Candy Corn!
(this is the first week I sold out of macarons! Although I don’t like disappointing customers by
being sold out, it sure beats coming home with product!)
sugar cookies all dressed up
artisan marshmallows: orange cream, and rocky road (vanilla bean marshmallow with candied walnuts and chocolate cookie chunks!)
there were also some really moist pumpkin/roasted carrot/roasted yam breakfast loaves. Mmmm!
This photo just cut them off, though.
hard at work! It was a great market day – looking forward to the Christmas themed ones soon!
